Deerfield Beach Pier Cleanup

Well, from all I could see, the Deerfield Beach cleanup under the pier was a resounding success. By the time Dave and I got to the beach at around 8:35 Saturday morning, they had already checked in 150 divers. As you can see, there’s a lot of pier to clean so I’m sure they were busy for the whole morning.

Making a Little Movie at Delray Beach

At first, we were a little nervous – there was a group of spear fishermen out there and with the visibility not so good, we didn’t want to risk becoming prey. But by the time we were ready to dive, the fishermen were gone and we had the wreck to ourselves.
We saw a fair amount of wildlife:

  • a little eel
  • some juvenile high hats
