Last year, when Dave and I went to DEMA, we decided to participate in the silent auction. We bid on some fins and then, kind of as a lark, we bid on a Beach Buddy. I hate carrying my stuff – what can I say – I’m a diva.

This looked like a great thing and lucky us, we won!

On Saturday, June 12th, Pavan Arilton from Dixie Divers in Deerfield Beach will be out at the beach with other civic minded beach lovers to once again clean up the beach and pier. The effort is consistent with the efforts of Project Aware to rid the ocean of debris. The pier will be closed to fishing during the event giving divers a rare opportunity to dive under the pier – as well as do their part to clean it up. (more…)
