On Saturday, June 12th, Pavan Arilton from Dixie Divers in Deerfield Beach will be out at the beach with other civic minded beach lovers to once again clean up the beach and pier. The effort is consistent with the efforts of Project Aware to rid the ocean of debris. The pier will be closed to fishing during the event giving divers a rare opportunity to dive under the pier – as well as do their part to clean it up.

We tried to help out a year or so ago but the day we went, they had to cancel due to weather. We’ll try again this year.
